At Hollin Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and able to achieve their full potential. We recognise that every child is unique and may require different levels or types of support throughout their education.

Our dedicated team works closely with pupils, families and external professionals to identify individual needs and provide appropriate support. We aim to create an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children can learn, develop confidence and thrive.

Our approach to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is guided by relevant legislation, statutory guidance and government frameworks. These documents provide the legal and national framework that underpins our responsibilities and ensures that children and young people with SEND receive appropriate support and have their needs recognised and met. 

There are a range of services and organisations available locally to support parents, carers and families of children with special educational needs and disabilities. These services can provide advice, guidance, practical support and opportunities to connect with other families. We have included links to some useful local resources to help families find the support that is right for them.

We value the views, experiences and opinions of our pupils and their families. By listening to pupils and families and working in partnership with them, we can better understand their needs, celebrate their strengths and ensure that their views help shape the support we provide.
