Welcome to Year 5
We hope you are well rested from the summer holidays and are ready and raring to go.
In Maths this half term we will looking at place value of numbers, rounding, comparing and ordering numbers, formal addition and subtraction, as well as multiples and factors. In English, we will be looking at persuasive arguments, linking in with our USA topic with presidential campaign speeches. Our topic this half term will be all about USA, focusing on geographical elements with some additional work on the lifecycles of indigenous animals.
Important weekly dates:
- PE is on a Tuesday, please ensure your P.E kit is in school
- Spellings and homework are given out on a Friday.
- Homework is due in on a Tuesday
- Spelling tests are on a Friday morning.
