At Hollin Primary School we want to enable children to understand the world around them and gain the knowledge and skills within them, so they can become passionate, fulfilled individuals and active compassionate citizens.
We will inspire, engage and teach purposeful lesson that cover a rich, varied and creative curriculum. We ensure each child practices taking risks, learning from mistakes and persevering towards their most ambitious goals.
We want to create happy pupils’ who aim as high as they can, whilst still enjoying their childhood. The children will benefit from as many opportunities and experiences as possible.
Early Years
In the Early Years, we follow children’s interest whilst teaching through a topic to spark imagination, broaden children’s horizons and open up new, exciting learning opportunities. We have adopted the non-statutory guidance Developments Matters 2021 and adhere to the statutory framework, the Early Years Foundation Stage 2021, working towards achieving the Early Years Goals at the end of the Reception Year.

In KS1 & KS2, we teach from the National Curriculum that sets out the subjects and assessment strategies for children in Years 1 – 6.
