1st Autumn Term 2019
This half term we are investigating habitats through the question 'Land, Sea or Air?'
In class we will be covering the following things:
English - Information texts including fact files
Maths - Place value, addition and subtraction
Science - Living things and their habitats
Topic - Plenty of topic themed activities from other areas of the curriculum
English homework will be set on a Monday and Maths homework will be set of a Tuesday. This will be set in relation to supported learning done in class that week. Please return homework to school within a week of it being set.
Children in 4T can change their books as often as they would like. All we ask is that their reading record book is signed to show that they have read at home. Please support your child's reading progress and listen to them for approximately 10 minutes each day.
Spellings in Year 4 will be made up of common spelling patterns that will be helpful in our English as a whole. Please encourage your child to learn their spellings in preparation for a spelling challenge on a Thursday afternoon. Spellings will be sent home on a Friday to ensure there is plenty of time given for learning them.
PE for 4T is on a Tuesday afternoon with Mr Vyse. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on this day. They will need; black shorts, a white t-shirt, trainers and a spare pair of socks. Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child's name.
